The KLEIO Chandlery

Once a candle concept is greenlighted by our Founder, the KLEIO team gets to work. We rigorously test each candle concept for at least 150 days before putting it on the shelf. 

We are committed to crafting high-quality, historically recreated candles that will provide you an immersive aromatic experience.

KLEIO chandlers apply gold leaf to each vessel, resulting in a hand-finished candle that attempts to replicate the weathering and aging of a gilded artifact from history. 

Each candle vessel is truly unique — no two are alike. 

KLEIO's candle wax is a a proprietary blend of coconut, apricot, and vegan waxes, a formula that is considered among the finest luxury waxes available today. 

Our flat-braided cotton, paper-filament wicks are specially designed to complement KLEIO wax, with each wick bathed in mineral salt to allow for a cooler burning flame, resulting in optimal aromatic performance. 

Our fragrance oils are sourced from high-quality perfumers who specialize in creating unique and powerful blends. Because we are recreating aromas from the past, KLEIO must seek out fragrances from all over the world to replicate the olfactive historical record.  

We are committed to staying as close to history as possible, often spending months working with multiple perfumeries across the globe in order to perfect a particular blend.

The KLEIO Chandlery creates our candles in small, hand-poured batches. We use proprietary wax temperatures, fragrance oil formulas, and approaches to create the signature KLEIO candle. 

Each candle is hand-wicked by one of our chandlers as the wax cools to room temperature.

Each candle is placed in the KLEIO curing room, aging for at least 14 days to ensure the fragrances fully bind to the wax.  

After properly cured, each candle goes through a 5-point quality assurance inspection before leaving the KLEIO Chandlery. 

After clearing the inspection checkpoint, our chandlers carefully assemble each package to specification before its shipped to its final destination on your doorstep.
