Located in Concord, Massachusetts, the Thoreau Farm is the birthplace and home of Henry David Thoreau, one of the most celebrated American luminaries of the 19th century. 

Located in Concord, Massachusetts, Thoreau Farm is the birthplace of Henry David Thoreau, one of the most celebrated American luminaries of the 19th century. Thoreau's birthplace was saved from development in 2007 when the Town of Concord transferred the property to the nonprofit Thoreau Farm Trust. Opened to the public in 2010, Thoreau Farm is a place of ideas, a source of inspiration for living deliberately, practicing simplicity, and exploring new ideas for positive change.  

Launched in March 2022, the KLEIO x Thoreau Farm collection transports you back to 19th-century New England, recreating Thoreau's olfactive world as detailed in his writings. While creating the collection, KLEIO worked closely with Thoreau experts to remain faithful to Thoreau's sensorial record.

The KLEIO x Thoreau Farm collection launches with the following candles as part of a series:

• The Language of These Fields, a journey back to Thoreau's home in Concord, Massachusetts in the 1850s, where he saunters through meadows, past farms, near bogs, and along Virginia Road.
• Forever Untamable Nature, an adventure in the Maine wilderness, where Thoreau makes camp in the woods near Ktaadn, Chesuncook, Allegash, or East Branch.

KLEIO is pleased to dedicate a portion of the KLEIO x Thoreau Farm collection candle sales to supporting Thoreau Farm Trust and the preservation of Henry David Thoreau's Birthplace.
